Water Infrastructure Resilience

The UK water sector is navigating three major investment programmes simultaneously. Confluence is where the senior people responsible for delivering them come together. Taking place in Manchester on 3 March 2027, it will convene leaders from infrastructure, technology, government, investment and industry to explore the ideas, partnerships and innovations needed to deliver water infrastructure resilience.
THREE PROGRAMMES ONE DELIVERY CHALLENGE
AMP8 is the largest water capital programme in over a century at £104bn. The EA's new flood programme went live in April 2026 with a 10-year, £7.9bn mandate. And the SRO's RAPID programme of over £50bn of major new water infrastructure across 30 projects including reservoirs, transfers and strategic storage is moving from planning to construction. No dedicated senior forum addresses all three together at delivery level. Confluence fills that gap.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A curated, one-day senior forum structured around the delivery challenges that matter most. Every session is built around live programme experience, not theory. Speakers from across water companies, Ofwat, NISTA and the Environment Agency will bring the progammes to life, share perspectives, forge partnerships and accelerate meaningful change.
